Recipe by Lisa N.

Here's a quick recipe that is ridiculously delicious. The crazy thing is, dinner is ready practically before the bread is hot, crunchy and ready for dipping. Turn on your oven to 400F and get that bread in there now! The bread will heat up with the oven.

Time
5 mins
Yield
2 servings
Ingredients

Ingredients in order of adding to the pot. Please take the time to collect everything on your counter because this is going to go FAST!

  • 123Dough Ancient Grain Raisin Sourdough
  • Garlic - 4 to 5 cloves rough chop
  • Extra virgin olive oil - 1/4 cup
  • Butter - 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Shrimp - 14 pieces (31-40 count frozen, peeled, deveined, tail off)
  • Nutmeg, clove and cinnamon - 1/8 tsp each
  • Cayenne pepper - a pinch or two to taste
  • White wine - 1/2 cup (uncorked chardonnay)
  • Cannellini beans - one 15.5 ounce can drained and rinsed
  • Dry sherry - 1/8 cup
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped parsley - 2 tbsp
Instructions
  1. Turn on your oven to 400F and get that bread in there now! The bread will heat up with the oven.
  2. Olive oil and butter in pot
  3. As soon as the butter is melted into the oil, add garlic
  4. Saute until it just barely starts to color, don't overcook the garlic or it will become bitter
  5. Add frozen shrimp (still frozen)
  6. Add spices
  7. When shrimp look almost defrosted, add white wine
  8. Cook for a couple of minutes
  9. Add beans and heat them through
  10. Add Sherry, salt and pepper
  11. Remove from heat
  12. Add parsley
  13. Your bread should be perfect (remove from oven)
  • You can serve bread on the side to mop up all that delicious mess, or... serve the bread on the plate with shrimp and beans and broth spooned over.
