In just 2.5 fun-filled hours, professional sourdough baker Paul will guide you through the magic of the sourdough-making process — normally a 24-hour journey — condensed into a fast-paced, engaging workshop. Whether you’re a total beginner or a sourdough-baker, this class is for you!

You’ll mix, shape, and bake your very own loaf using just a few simple ingredients and age-old techniques. Paul’s expert tips and down-to-earth teaching style make it easy to follow along — and fun every step of the way.

While you bake, enjoy a selection of delicious finger foods and appetizers, plus up to two glasses of wine — because good bread deserves good company.

You’ll leave with:

  • A beautiful, fresh-baked sourdough loaf (made by you!)
  • Recipe and step-by-step instructions to recreate the magic at home
  • Your very own sourdough starter to keep the bread love going

And yes — you’ll walk out smelling like a bakery. You're welcome.

Great Class for Beginners!

My husband and I recently did the sourdough baking workshop at 123 Dough and we loved it! We learned a lot. Paul and the whole team was very thorough, informative, and patient with the group that was made primarily of novice bakers. It was fun to meet and mingle with new people and we really enjoyed the beautiful snacks and wine provided during breaks. We went home with a loaf of freshly baked bread and a sourdough starter to continue honing our skills. I've managed to keep it alive over the last few months and have made bread using the provided instructions. I also have become obsessed with making sourdough crackers with the discard. I definitely recommend signing up for this workshop!

Great for beginners!

I signed up for the sourdough class as a clueless newbie and it was delightful! Paul and all of the 123Dough staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish. We enjoyed delicious sourdough treats and coffee while our loaves were baking, and I came home with a freshly baked loaf and everything I needed to get started at home. I also picked up the AMAZING 123 Farm lavender peach jam on my way out and I've been enjoying delicious sourdough all summer!

Easy as 123 !!!

OK to begin with t he sourdough bread at 123 dough bakery is actually life-changing for me because I am gluten intolerant and I can safely eat a few good pieces of this daily with no tummy troubles whatsoever!! I don’t even bother eating regular gluten-free bread anymore. I just stick with 123 Dough ! Now onto the class.. which was really super informative, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating and helpful as well. the snack portion was so beautifully curated. I would say that exceeded my expectations, but being a longtime customer of 123 dough. It’s exactly what I expected of them!! A beautiful yet homey introduction to making your own sourdough! Bonus is you get to bring home your own sourdough starter and they have everything that you need to make your own bread at home! My adult daughter and I did it as a mother daughter date and was a really enjoyable shareable experience. It was so so much fun. I’m ready to sign up again and bring my other daughter :)
